Yet another sunset photo – this one from a drone, hovering high over our yard, early yesterday evening.
The very end, of a very serendipitous, first flight — of the year. Miles (the ex wonder dog) was there, of course. Drone was my P3A.
Noodling about the yard in a drone – on a recent snowless winters day. Was flying a DJI Phantom 3 Advanced. Vid was recorded with camera color set to log mode – which creates a shockingly dull video, but doesn’t throw out any data while recording. Leaves it all there for post processing. Edits were done with Corel Video Studio Pro v8. Settled on an auto level filter for putting the color back. Added some music – and here weRead More
That’s Boris the cat, watching reflections of birds on th ponds surface … dreaming …Ahhh – to dream of flight – and then to live that dream, with both feet still on the ground? Oh yeah. To see what I saw while flying – view at 720p But not with my older std live video crap … To see what I saw while flying – view at 480p (720×480) I tried all the usual things … various noise filters expensiveRead More
Flying my stock DJI F550 hexacopter, with a NAZA 2 FC, an H3B+ camera, recording at 1920 x 1280 x 60fps, supported by a brand new FY MiNi-3D 3 axis gimbal. Nice. And a very nice day to try it out on. Beautiful. Inverting it is simple. Remove cam. Invert gimbal. Rotate roll 180 deg. Put cam back, right side up. Done. It adjusts to the new orientation on power up. Bought mine here http://hobbywireless.com/gimbals-hea…al-p-1865.html Here’s some shots of the mountingRead More
For you nerds out there, was flying an F450, with e300 power system, Vector FC, and H3W camera. I fat fingered the controls, panicked just a tad, but recovered during the sudden unexpected drop. Never saw that tree until I looked at the video recording after the flight. A couple feet more over, and I wouldn’t have ever found that quad, or the recording.
Flying in and over a friends backyard – only time I’ve flown anywhere else besides my own yard. Was windy above the treetops. Was fun. You’ll see our dogs, us (some old folk), the house and yard, a pond, and some gorgeous shots of the treetops bending with the wind. Helpful Hint – View it in youtube to see it full size, and select HD mode to see it in high def.
